MIM casting
The flexibility of injection molding with the strength of metal
MIM casting is ideal to produce high-precision and high-volume metal parts.

Metal Injection Moulding (MIM) is a highly advanced manufacturing process that combines the design flexibility of plastic injection moulding with the strength and integrity of metal. In this process, fine metal powders are mixed with a binder to create a feedstock, which is then injected into a mould to form the desired shape. The part is then sintered at high temperatures to remove the binder and fuse the metal particles, resulting in a high-density, high-strength metal component.
MIM casting is ideal for producing small, intricate parts with complex geometries and tight tolerances. It offers several advantages, including the ability to mass-produce high-precision parts with excellent surface finishes and minimal material waste. This makes it a cost-effective solution for both high-volume production and custom projects.
At SinoScan, we have access to a wide range of materials and foundries, enabling us to support the entire project cycle, from design and engineering support to prototyping and mass production. We utilise CMM inspection wherever possible to eliminate human error and ensure a robust and repeatable inspection process against approved specifications.
